Start your first timer

Capture one real work session, then make the record useful by assigning its context.

Before you beginA signed-in workspace.

01

Record the work in front of you

Start with a task you can complete or pause soon. A short, accurate entry is more valuable than an elaborate setup with no recorded work.

  1. 01

    Open the Ayron menu-bar item.

  2. 02

Choose the client, project, and task that describe the work.

  3. 03

Start the timer. You can also use the documented shortcut ⌥⌘T when it is available in your setup.

  4. 04

Stop the timer when you pause or finish the work.

  5. 05

Open the resulting entry and correct its context or note while the work is still fresh.

02

Make the first entry billable later

A useful entry identifies what was done and where it belongs. If you are undecided about the structure, create the client first, then the project, then the task. That ordering keeps later reports and invoice preparation understandable.
