Documentation/Track and organize

macOS primary workflow

Organize clients, projects, and tasks

Give every entry a stable place so tracked hours can be understood, reported, and prepared for billing.

01

Use the hierarchy in order

Ayron’s work model is client → project → task. A client is the person or organization receiving the work. A project is the bounded body of work for that client. A task is the specific kind of work you track within that project.

  1. 01

Create the client before beginning its first billable project.

  2. 02

Create a project for the engagement, retainer, or body of work.

  3. 03

Add tasks that make a time entry meaningful to you and the client.

  4. 04

Select that structure whenever you start or correct a timer.

02

Keep the model legible

Name projects for the work a client would recognize. Keep tasks specific enough to separate different kinds of effort, but do not turn every tiny action into a task. Archive work you no longer need so future selections stay quick.
